Hector Rail launches shunting service at Ziel Terminal in Duisburg

Hector Rail has launched a new shunting service at Ziel Terminal in Duisburg, further strengthening its operational offering along one of Europe’s key rail freight corridors. The service is now available to all customers operating at the terminal. Shunting operations are carried out using a G 1000 BB locomotive provided by cooperation partner RheinCargo. The locomotive’s performance and versatility enable efficient and reliable handling of trains directly within the terminal area.

“The integration of shunting services at Ziel Terminal is an important step in delivering our One Hector Rail strategy along this corridor,” says Dr. Carsten Hinne, CEO of Hector Rail Group. “By expanding our service scope, we are able to create additional value for our customers while ensuring more seamless and efficient operational flows.”

The new service also enhances the operational offering of Hector Rail GmbH.
